Tell it to the Judge
(J. Worth/P. DiPuccio/B.Nicholson)
Bobby went out for a night with the guys
Maybe borrow some things that they just couldn’t buy
But when their plan ran into a snag
The boys left Bobby there holding the bag
When Cain returned from what he’d done
And Adam grieved at the loss of his son
The boy he pleaded, but the Lord wouldn’t budge
He said ‘it’s not my problem, kid, tell it to the judge’
You got to tell it to the judge
Boy you better plead for mercy
When it gets a little rough
Tell it to the judge, you got to tell it to the judge
You know you gotta face it when things get tough
But I don’t wanna hear it…
Once they held a rock & roll show
I told the boss I was sick, so that I could go
Was having so much fun ‘cause I wasn’t allowed
Who’d’ve thought the boss was there in the crowd
Comes a time when everyone needs
A place to stand for what you believe
And when it comes time to pay my bill
You know that I will
Tell it to the judge…
